To open, turn the top knob on the lid to the right. The locking mechanism will open and release from the rim of the pot to release the lid.
To close, place the lid on the pot at any position, there is no lid alignment necessary. Make sure the locking mechanism is open before placing the lid back on. Once the lid is on the pot, turn the knob to the left to clamp the locking mechanism onto the rim of the pot.
